Third weekend of the month...

Just got back from adoration.... what a great feeling it is. To spend one hour with Jesus, to give back in some small way for all he has done for you. What a gift!

I've been having a tough month... two deaths between middle of December and January, school up in the air, friendships in peril, health concerns... Just a lot to deal with.

I almost didn't go to adoration this weekend. There wasn't a sign up sheet last week and I didn't go out of my way to find out about the hours available. It was today, while I was making my toast that I thought, Hey, I should go to adoration. Literally, five minutes later, Anna (the lady who coordinates the hours for adoration) calls my cell phone. She wanted to see if I was interesting in signing up for an adoration hour. How amazing is that? Ask and you shall receive!

And you know what, I actually feel better. I poured my heart out and laid my troubles at Jesus' feet. I know he will lead me down the right path. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart". I may not like the outcome, but I know that things happen for a reason and that He wouldn't give me anything I couldn't handle.

What a wonderful gift our faith has...

"The Prayer of Faith
Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops." (James 5:13-19)

Per our conversation this morning. :)
